Free-scoring Canberra United meet the unpredictable Western Sydney Wanderers in what promises to be entertaining fare for Fox Sports / ABC TV viewers on Sunday.
The team from the nation’s capital will make the trip up the freeway to Campbelltown Stadium to take on the Wanderers, buoyed by one of the great Westfield W-League performances last weekend.
Canberra dismantled the hitherto in-form Perth Glory with a stunning 7-2 scoreline, including a remarkable four-goal haul from Westfield Matildas forward Ash Sykes.
That result left Canberra within striking distance of leaders Sydney FC with two matches remaining.
While Canberra are hunting the premiership, the Wanderers are desperately chasing a ticket to the semi-finals.
They simply must defeat Canberra to maintain their hopes of overhauling fourth-placed Melbourne City.
If they do so on Sunday, it will be a first win over Canberra in eight attempts.
Can they do it? They have already beaten champions Melbourne City this season so anything is possible from the enigmatic Wanderers.
Find out by tuning in for the TV broadcast at 2pm on Sunday on Fox Sports 505 and ABC TV.
