Fresh off what will likely be the most memorable week of his career, Melbourne Victory midfielder Billy Celeski has been linked to United Arab Emirates club Al Shaab.
There is no doubt the world was watching as a bid followed Celeski-s solid performances against Manchester United as an inaugural A-League All Star before he returned to Melbourne to take on Liverpool in front of 95,000 fans at the MCG.
Celeski is said to be the final recruit for Al Shaab who recently failed to secure the services of Sydney FC-s Nick Carle.
The side is looking to strengthen their squad after being promoted to the UAE Pro League for the upcoming season set to start on September 14.
All Stars selection followed a strong season for Celeski who played in 27 matches for the Victory as they finished third and went down to the Central Coast Mariners in the Semi Final of the Finals Series.
The 28-year-old was a part of Australia-s Olyroos team that competed at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and has also made one appearance in the Socceroos as a substitute in 2009.
Celeski is the second key Victory player linked to an overseas move after interest has been shown by English Premier League club Crystal Palace for Socceroos midfielder Mark Milligan.
