BRIDGE BACK TO ‘WANDERLAND’
*Bridge was a foundation member of the Wanderers, making 112 appearances – and scoring 32 goals – for the club over four seasons. Only Nikolai Topor-Stanley (125) has played more games for the club.
*The 31-year-old spent last season at Thai club Chiangrai United.
*He is the only player to win the Wanderers Medal – given to the club’s player of the year – on two occasions.
*Bridge scored nine goals and had eight assists in his last campaign for the Wanderers and has helped the club reach three Hyundai A-League grand finals.
*He joins the likes of Michael Thwaite, Roly Bonevacia, Chris Herd, Josh Risdon and Oriol Riera as new signings ahead of the new season.
BRIDGE EXCITED TO BE ‘HOME’
“I was raised in St Clair so for me to be back playing for this club, it holds a special place in my heart and hopefully I’m a part of it for a long time to come,” he said.
“Popa’s [coach Tony Popovic] a great leader, I think he brings the best out of his players and he definitely gets the best out of me so it was a big part of me coming back.
“As successful as this club has been in its short history, that Grand Final win has still alluded us so that’s definitely a massive driver for me this season.”
