Melbourne City have released former English Premier League midfielder Robert Koren after two seasons with the Hyundai A-League club.
City and Koren have parted ways by mutual consent.
During his time as a Melbourne City player, Koren, 35, made 26 appearances for the Club, scoring four goals.
The former Hull City midfielder joined Melbourne City as the club’s marquee player ahead of the 2014/15 season but struggled for consistent game time after suffering a string of injuries.
John van’t Schip bolstered his side’s midfield stocks earlier this week with the acquisition of former Mariners attacker Anthony Caceres on loan until the end of the season.
