Adelaide United have rewarded Al Hassan Toure and Louis D’Arrigo for their impressive Hyundai A-League form, announcing contract extensions for both teenage starlets until the end of the 2022/23 season.
Toure and D’Arrigo have both contributed greatly to Adelaide’s strong start to the 2019/20 Hyundai A-League campaign and have earned contract extensions which will see them remain at the club for a further three seasons.
Toure, 19, announced himself on the national stage earlier this year with a string of stellar performances in the FFA Cup, scoring five goals in the tournament and winning the mark Viduka Medal for his best on ground showing in the 2019 FFA Cup Final against Melbourne City.
Meanwhile 18-year-old D’Arrigo has become a staple in the Reds’ midfield under boss Gertjan Verbeek, featuring six times from the start already this season.
Adelaide United Director of Football Bruce Djite says retaining the talents of both promising teenage stars was a must for the Reds.
“Al Hassan and Louis are two of the best young footballers in the country, so we’re delighted to have secured their services for the next three years,” Djite said in a club statement.

“It also reinforces our commitment to giving the absolute best, young South Australian talent an opportunity here with Adelaide United.
“Al Hassan has come through the National Premier League system with Croydon Kings before joining our Youth Team, and Louis was brought through the Football South Australia system prior to developing even further with us.
“Not only do they both boast enormous potential, Al Hassan and Louis also have the right mentality and character to develop into much better players than they are today.
“Both are highly motivated individuals and we expect to see them both continue their development right here in Adelaide.”
