Melina Ayres will be pulling on the Melbourne Victory jersey once again in the Westfield W-League Season 2018/19.
The NAB Young Footballer of the Year nominee becomes the seventh player in Victory’s 2018/19 ranks, following the signings of Laura Alleway, Angie Beard, Kyra Cooney-Cross, MelindaJ Barbieri, Emily Gielnik and Grace Maher.

The 19-year-old former Melbourne City attacker featured in 11 games and scored two goals in 2017/18, including the Goal of the Round against her former club in Round 11.

She re-joins Victory on a one-year deal and head coach Hopkins cannot wait to help Ayres progress even further this season.
“It was great to see Melina really step up at W-League level last campaign,” Hopkins said.
“She has a bright future and she’s only going to get better with more game time at the highest level.
“I’m looking forward to helping her continue to develop during the coming season.”
