Perth Glory have signed former Brisbane Roar midfielder Taras Gomulka on a two-year deal.

Gomulka spent one-and-a-half seasons at the Roar after stints at Melbourne City and Adelaide United; the 22-year-old won the Premiership/Championship double with City in 2020-21 – his first season at the club – and has made a total of 72 Isuzu UTE A-League appearances to date.

“I’m buzzing to be joining this special club,” Gomulka said after committing the next two seasons of his career to Glory.

“I can’t wait to get started and meet all the boys and staff.

“With the new ownership coming in, it’s a great and exciting time to be a part of it and I want to try and help the team bring success to the club.”

Gomulka, an Australia U23 international, is Glory’s third midfield signing of the current off-season. He joins Brandon O’Neill and Nicholas Pennington in strengthening the club’s engine room and Glory Football Director Stan Lazaridis believes his arrival will compliment the strengths of his midfield teammates in the 2024-25 season.

“Taras is another great signing for us,” Lazaridis said.

“He’s technically a very good player and I feel he’s a bit underrated and understated.

“He’s got good balance, uses the ball well and is a box-to-box player who I feel will really complement the other midfielders that we now have at the club.”
