Perth Glory maintained their position on top of the Hyundai A-League ladder but Melbourne Victory are in close pursuit as both teams recorded wins in a Saturday triple header.
The day opened with Wellington Phoenix’s shock 3-1 triumph against Sydney FC at Jubilee Oval, before Ola Toivonen starred in Melbourne Victory’s 2-0 win against Adelaide United.
Kevin Muscat’s side temporarily went first in the table until Chris Ikonomidis’ strike put Glory back on the summit following a 1-0 victory against ten-man Melbourne City, who failed to record a shot on target.
