Struggling A-League champions Sydney FC have handed a week-long trial to Gabon international striker Gillies Mbang Ondo.
The 25-year-old who has played the last three seasons with UMF Grindavik in the Iceland First Division, scoring 33 goals in 55 matches.
He was the competitions leading scorer in 2010 with 15 goals in 22 appearances.
Mbang Ondo, who started his career in 1999 with French giants Paris Saint-Germain, has played six times for the Gabon national team.
If he can impress Sky Blues coach Vitezslav Lavicka, Mbang Ondo could secure a move to the club in January.
