Sydney FC star Adrian Mierzejewski has been named in EA Sports’ FIFA Team of the Week alongside the likes of Paul Pogba, Alexis Sanchez and Paulo Dybala.
The Polish international scored one and played a hand in several others as the Sky Blues secured a resounding 6-0 win at Allianz Stadium on Saturday night.
His standout performance saw him claim the Hyundai A-League’s player of the round award for Round 13.
The 31-year-old has been a revelation for Graham Arnold’s side this season, contributing seven goals and five assists in 11 matches for the campaign.
Mierzejewski’s selection comes just a week after Sydney FC teammate Bobo was selected following the Brazilian’s hat-trick against Wellington Phoenix in Round 12.
He’s joined in the squad by fellow attackers Jesse Lingard (Man UTD), Dele Alli (Tottenham) and Roberto Firmino (Liverpool).

Mierzejewski was again heavily involved in Sydney FC’s thrilling 2-2 draw with Newcastle Jets on Wednesday night, setting up Bobo’s late equaliser for the Sky Blues.
