Just a day after Cahill-s incredible goal at the World Cup for Australia against Holland, the 34-year-old is being chased by Graham Arnold-s Sky Blues.
The report stressed it-s still early days but claims there-s been contact between Sydney and Cahill, who has a contract with his MLS club New York Red Bulls till 2015.
Cahill, who currently plays in the MLS, would be a huge drawcard to local fans who are already salivating at the prospect of seeing Spanish star David Villa and Damien Duff in the A-League with Melbourne City this coming season.
Cahill, a former EPL star with Everton, is suspended for the Socceroos- final group game against Spain but is the talk of the football world after his amazing goal in Porto Alegre against Holland in the 3-2 loss.
