Steve Corica played a near full-strength line-up and it was one of his new recruits that opened the scoring on 15 minutes.

Then nine minutes before half-time it was Alex Brosque who doubled the lead.

The Sky Blues skipper was in the right place at the right time to tap home from point-blank range after a superb turn and cut-back from Adam Le Fondre.
Neither side was able to find the net after the break as Sydney held on for another win ahead of their season-opener against Adelaide United next Friday night.
The Mariners will play another friendly match tonight in Campbelltown, with the likes of Usain Bolt, Ross McCormack and Tommy Oar all in the starting side against Macarthur South West United.
