Sydney FC has confirmed six departures from their Isuzu-UTE A-League squad following the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.
Joel King, Patrick Wood, Ahmet Arslan and Corey Hollman will depart the Sky Blues following the expiration of their contracts.
23-year old Wood and Hollman, 22, have been with the club since the Academy’s inception in 2016 and depart with 119 and 71 games played respectively.
“Sydney FC has been my home since joining the Academy in 2016 and I’ll always be thankful for the opportunities the club has given me,” said Wood.

“To make my A-League debut, score goals and create so many memories in Sky Blue is something I’ll never forget, and I wish the club every success in the future.”
Hollman added: “Having come through the Academy and spending almost a decade at Sydney FC, this club will always mean so much to me and my family.
“I’m proud to have worn the Sky Blue jersey and grateful to all the coaches, staff, team-mates and Members who supported me throughout my journey.”
Joel King departs for the second time having returned to the club following a spell at Danish club Odense BK in 2023 while Arslan joined the Sky Blues in February and returns to Germany.
In addition, Apostolos Stamatelopoulos and Piero Quispe will return to their parent clubs in Scotland and Mexico respectively following the conclusion of their loan agreements.
Sydney FC Men’s Head Coach Patrick Kisnorbo thanked all of the departing players for their contribution to the club.
“I’d like to thank every one of these players for the commitment and professionalism they’ve shown during their time at Sydney FC,” Kisnorbo said.

“Some have been here for a number of years, others for a shorter period, but each of them has played an important role and we sincerely appreciate their efforts.

Sydney FC remains in discussions with a number of other players regarding the 2026-27 season and will make further announcements in due course.
