Sydney FC have unveiled their all-time best-ever squads in both the Isuzu UTE A-League Men and Ninja A-League Women, with the star-studded line-ups featuring some of the greats of the A-Leagues’ first two decades.
The two illustrious teams were revealed at the club’s Sky Blue Ball on Wednesday night.
The squads were selected by Sydney FC’s members via a voting process, honouring the most impactful players in the club’s 20-year history, with Subway Socceroos, CommBank Matildas, Jonny Warren and Julie Dolan Medallists and star imports galore all making the cut.
Sydney FC chief executive officer Mark Aubrey congratulated the 32 players and two coaches selected in the two squads, highlighting the member vote as a fitting way to commemorate their respective contributions to the club across the last 20 years.
“These teams represent the very best of Sydney FC’s history and are a tribute to the world-class talent that has worn the Sky Blue jersey.
“From club legends to international stars, every player on this list has made a lasting impact, and it is only fitting that they be honoured in our 20th year,” he said.
“To have our Members vote and celebrate these players in our 20th season is incredibly special. It reflects the passion of our fans and the deep connection our club has built with the community over two decades.”
