Suncorp stadium hosts A-League Grand Final

Suncorp Stadium hosts the Hyundai A-League Grand Final so be part of another massive occasion when Roar and Wanderers clash in Sunday’s season finale.

Brisbane Roar will take on the Western Sydney Wanderers as the top two teams face off in the Hyundai A-League 2014 Grand Final, presented by FOXTEL, at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday 4 May.

Brisbane Roar earned the chance to become the first club to claim three Hyundai A-League Championships after defeating Melbourne Victory 1-0 in tonight-s semi final in front of 28,350 fans at Suncorp Stadium.

Brisbane Roar, Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC have each won two Hyundai A-League Championships but the Roar can create history next Sunday as the Wanderers go in search of a maiden title in only their second season.

Brisbane will face Western Sydney after the Wanderers extracted revenge from last year-s decider by defeating the Central Coast Mariners 2-0 at Pirtek Stadium on Saturday night.

Tickets for the decider go on sale at 9am tomorrow morning (Monday) for Brisbane Roar and Western Sydney Members, who get the first opportunity to fill Suncorp Stadium for the third time in Hyundai A-League Grand Final history.

Tickets will be available for members of the FFA Football Family from 9am Tuesday before the remaining tickets go on sale to the general public from 9am on Wednesday morning.

Fans can be part of the atmosphere of the Hyundai A-League 2014 Grand Final for as low as $55 (adult), $45 (concession) and $30 (children) or $140 for a family of four (2 adults and 2 children or 1 adult and 3 children).

Suncorp Stadium has played host to some of the most iconic moments in the Hyundai A-League.

We-ll never forget the extraordinary grand final day in 2011 when Roar came back to draw 2-2 and win it on penalties against Central Coast.

It was one of the greatest games in the history of the league in front of a sellout crowd of over 50,000.

And a year later, Glory almost stole the show before the man himself Besart Berisha came up with two late goals to seal a second Championship for the Queenslanders in front of another sellout crowd.

Can Roar make it three grand finals wins at Suncorp?

Or will the thousands of travelling Red and Black sing their team to an historic first grand final win after just two seasons in the league.

The atmosphere will be amazing, the colour special as the two sets of fans attempt to out-sing each other.

So be part of a third “Orange Sunday” at Suncorp Stadium on May 4, kick off 4pm as Brisbane Roar host the Western Sydney Wanderers.

There-ll be loads of entertainment around the precinct too with another sellout expected.
