Former Roar starlet Barbarouses has brutally punished his former club this season.
The Melbourne Victory forward scored a brace in his side’s 2-1 win over Brisbane Roar at Marvel Stadium.
Barbarouses’ double saw him finish the season with seven goals against his former club, which is the equal most by a player against an opponent in a single campaign.
The New Zealander, who paid tribute to the victims of the Christchurch shootings after scoring his opener, moved onto 13 goals this season – the most he has managed in a Hyundai A-League campaign.
Eric Bautheac pulled a goal back for the Roar, but they are now winless in their last 10 league games against Victory at Marvel Stadium, where they last won in September 2008.

Glory keep it clean against Reds
Perth Glory took another step towards clinching a first Premiers’ Plate in the Hyundai A-League.
Goals from Diego Castro and Andy Keogh lifted Perth to a 2-0 win over Adelaide United, extending their unbeaten run to 13 games.
Keogh has haunted the Reds repeatedly and his goal was his seventh in the fixture, which is now the outright most ahead of Adelaide great Travis Dodd.

Perth have won five of their past nine league games against the Reds, keeping five clean sheets during that run.
Glory goalkeeper Liam Reddy is up to nine clean sheets this season, which is the most by a Perth shot-stopper since Opta started keeping the stat in 2012/13.
He is one away from becoming just the sixth goalkeeper in that time to keep at least 10 clean sheets in a season, joining Danny Vukovic, Mat Ryan, Eugene Galekovic, Andrew Redmayne and Ante Covic.

Mariners end winless runs in drama-filled derby
The Central Coast Mariners returned to winning ways, and in incredible fashion.
Ben Kennedy’s 98th-minute penalty save from Roy O’Donovan saw the Mariners beat the Newcastle Jets 3-2 in Alen Stajcic’s first game in charge.
Kennedy had already denied Jets striker O’Donovan once before the rebound was tucked away by Daniel Georgievski, who had encroached, leading to a retake.

Central Coast failed to register a shot in the first half of a Hyundai A-League game for the first time in seven seasons before they came to life after the break.
Jordan Murray, Jem Karacan and Connor Pain scored before they had to hold on after goals from O’Donovan and Ronald Vargas for the Jets in an extraordinary finish to the match.
The victory ended an eight-match winless run for the Mariners, who also snapped Newcastle’s five-game winning streak in the derby.

City finally best Sky Blues
Melbourne City finally got the job done against Sydney FC.
Shayon Harrison’s first Hyundai A-League goal and a Paulo Retre own goal gave City a 2-0 win over the Sky Blues.

The result ended Sydney’s seven-game winning run over City in the league, while it was their first loss at Leichhardt Oval.
City also ended a five-game winless streak away from home, a period during which they had scored just three goals.

Phoenix end five-year wait against Wanderers
Wellington Phoenix recorded an emotional win on Sunday.
A 3-1 victory over Western Sydney marked the Phoenix’s second straight over the Wanderers, the first time they have managed that since 2014.

Roy Krishna, Mandi and David Williams scored in the first half as Wellington paid tribute to the victims of the Christchurch shootings.
