Fair play is at the core of our game, and for A-Leagues it’s as important off the field as on.
Football is played by more Australians than any other team sport in Australia with First Nations communities and individuals a vital part of that participation, whether in our national teams, the A-Leagues or in local football.
The A-Leagues stands alongside Football Australia and Professional Footballers Australia, and other sporting codes, in supporting the proposal to recognise a Voice to Parliament in the Australian constitution for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Whilst we believe it’s the right thing to do, we encourage all Australians to form their own view by taking some time to understand the proposals being presented in the referendum, and the impact it will have on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
