Melbourne Heart midfielder Wayne Srhoj has been given a one-match ban from the independent Match Review Panel (MRP), following his foul on Central Coast Mariners’ Rostyn Griffiths in last weekend’s game in Gosford.

Srhoj was shown a yellow card for his raised arm against Griffiths in the 39th minute, but after considering the incident, the MRP found the midfielder had committed serious foul play and proposed the one-match sanction.

Srhoj and Heart have until midday Wednesday to challenge the decision.
