Adelaide United midfielder Jason Spagnuolo will join the North Queensland Fury at the completion of the current Hyundai A-League season.
Spagnuolo will play out the current season with United, but will then move north to join the A-League’s newest franchise for at least two seasons.
The 24-year-old is looking forward to teaming up with Fury coach Ian Ferguson at the North Queensland club.
“I’m very excited about the challenge that lies ahead. North Queensland came across as very professional, and I’m keen to get up there and give it a go and see what I can do,” Spagnuolo said.
“I just want to go out there and play and give it everything I’ve got. It will be the first time I’ve really moved away from home for an extended period as well and I think the move is going to be great for me.”
While Spagnuolo is excited about his future with the Fury, he is still committed to helping United secure the A-League Championship this season.
“Having said all that, I’m very much focused on my time here at Adelaide United and making sure I end my time here on the right note,” he added.
Other players already signed by the Fury include Ufuk Talay, Brendon Santalab, Robbie Middleby, Jacob Timpano, Jeremy Brockie, James Robinson and Marton Vass.
