Sky Blues star Ninkovic receives his Australian permanent residency

When Milos Ninkovic arrived at Sydney FC in 2015, he wasn’t sure how long he wanted to stay in the Hyundai A-League and Australia.

But now the Serbian superstar admits he may never leave.

That’s because the Sky Blues playmaker has received his permanent residency.

“I got my permanent residency last week or 10 days ago and that’s wonderful news for me and my family,” Ninkovic told Sydney FC’s official website.

“We are so happy and I’ve said many times we are thinking of maybe staying here (in Australia) after my career.

“We’ll see what’s going to happen in the next few years…but I’m very happy to have got my permanent residency.”

As are all Sydney FC fans.

Ninkovic has been a raging success since he arrived at the club under Graham Arnold for the start of 2015/16 Season.

The 34-year-old, who has played 28 times for the Serbian national team, has helped the Sky Blues win two Championships, two Premierships and an FFA Cup title in that time.

And he’s showing no signs of slowing down and will again be another key component of Steve Corica’s side as they look to become the first team since Brisbane Roar (2011/12) to defend their title.
