Sydney FC’s dream start to the season continued as Filip Holosko scored twice in a 4-0 demolition of Central Coast Mariners at Allianz Stadium on Saturday.
The Sky Blues picked up exactly where they left off in last weekend’s Sydney Derby, scoring twice either side of half-time to consign Paul Okon to a heavy first defeat.
There would be no Mariners comeback this time around as Holosko’s opener and a second from the spot stretched his tally to three goals in two games.
Bobo joined the Slovenian on the scoresheet in the first-half while Alex Brosque added another off the bench with 20 minutes to play.
Despite carving more openings after the restart, the visitors lacked the penetration to trouble a Sydney side which has now scored eight and conceded zero from the first two rounds.

GOALS
1-0 Sydney: Holosko, 18’
Milos Ninkovic’s brilliant ball between defender and fullback created the opener out of almost nothing as Holosko raced through on goal and dinked a smart finish over the onrushing Necevski.
2-0 Sydney: Bobo, 39’
Jacob Poscoliero’s attempted clearance, under heavy pressure from Bobo, only succeeded in lobbing Necevski and allowing the Brazilian to tap his second of the season into an empty net.
3-0 Sydney: Holosko, 65’
The ‘Bobosko’ connection continued with the Slovenian converting from the spot after Bobo was dragged down by young Mariners defender Jake McGing.
4-0 Sydney: Brosque, 70’
Necevski’s heavy first touch in his own penalty area allowed substitute Brosque to eventually finish into an unguarded net.
