Signing news: Wanderers add three more players for Westfield W-League campaign

Western Sydney Wanderers have made three more signings ahead of the start of the Westfield W-League 2017/18 Season this weekend.

Goalkeeper Nicole Simonsen, ex-Canberra United midfielder Jennifer Bisset and defender Alexandra Huynh will all wear Red and Black for the upcoming campaign.

Bisset has had a hugely successful career both in the Westfield W-League and internationally, winning the title with Canberra in 2011/12 and 2014/15.

She also won silverware abroad with Finnish side Pallokerho-35 Vantaa, where she won the Women’s Cup and was runner-up in the Naisten Liiga.

Huynh is a local who returns to the Wanderers after playing with the Blacktown Spartans in the PS4 NPL.

She has spent a number of years abroad in the US College System.

Hyunh is back in Wanderers colours for the 2017/18 Season.

And Simonsen links with the Wanderers after winning the PS4 NPL Women’s Championship with Manly United.

She’ll boost the Wanderers’ goalkeeper stocks joining alongside Jada Whyman and Trudy Burke.

All three will be in contention to play as the Wanderers kick-off their Westfield W-League season against Newcastle Jets in Sunday’s double header at McDonald Jones Stadium.
