Brisbane Roar have confirmed the signing of Rahmat Akbari on a two-year contract.
Akbari, 19, is the thirteenth signing made by boss Robbie Fowler and says he’s delighted to be home in Brisbane, where he made his debut as a 17-year-old.

“I’m really stoked to be here again. This is my home – my family are here, I started playing here when I was younger so it’s really good to be back,” Akbari said.
“The team’s great, the culture is excellent and the team is really gelling together.”
The Afghanistan-born playmaker – who joined Melbourne Victory on a one-year loan last season – returned to Queensland in June and has impressed in first team pre-season victories over Redlands United and Brisbane City.
Akbari said Brisbane is the perfect place to continue his development under Fowler.
“He has been really good to me. As a young player I always want to go play more games, this season especially I want to play as many A-League games as I can.”
Akbari will wear Kit No. 25.
