Adelaide United have rewarded teenage goalkeeper Daniel Margush with a new two-year deal with the Hyundai A-League club.
The 19-year-old, who is contracted to the Reds for this season, will now remain in the City of Churches until the end of the 2019/20 Season.
Margush made his Hyundai A-League debut for the Reds as an 18-year-old against the Central Coast Mariners in January 2016.
He was initially understudy to former Reds Eugene Galekovic and John Hall, before getting his shot in the Hyundai A-League last season.
“Daniel has proved on a number of occasions that he is a top quality goalkeeper with a lot of potential,” Adelaide United General Manager of Football Ante Kovacevic said.
“When called upon last season in particular, Daniel demonstrated his abilities between the sticks and is only going to get better with more experience.
“With Paul Izzo, Daniel, and also Isaac Richards all under Frank Juric’s experienced tutorage, the club will continue to have strong and capable goalkeepers.”
Margush, who has represented the Young Socceroos, is currently back-up to Izzo and has made four first-team appearances for the Reds so far in his career.
The unbeaten United are next in action on Friday night in a huge clash against Melbourne Victory at Adelaide Oval.
