Susan Phonsongkham has re-signed for Western Sydney Wanderers.
Phonsongkham, 18, is back for her third season in the colours of Western Sydney looking to build on her 12 appearances in the Westfield W-League so far.
An injury set-back prevented the Young Matilda’s impact last season, but the midfielder made a strong return to the pitch for NPL NSW club Sydney Olympic this year.
She enjoyed a breakthrough campaign for the Blues, winning the golden boot in the top tier of women’s football with 20 goals.
“It actually means a lot to me because when I first came to Australia (from Thailand) it was Western Sydney,” said Phonsongkham.
“My first club was Western Sydney Wanderers as a fan and I’ve been watching their games since I arrived.
“I’m really excited to be back because the facility here is amazing, top class, and with the new stadium behind us and the crowd, I think that will help us a lot this season. ”
