Newcastle Jets have bolstered their attacking arsenal with the signing of two-time Championship winner Nick Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald, 27, joins the Hunter Valley club on a two-year deal after his departure from Western Sydney Wanderers was announced earlier on Tuesday.
The speedster has two Hyundai A-League titles to his name having won the Championship with Brisbane Roar in 2011/12 and Central Coast Mariners in 2012/13.

“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to come and play for Newcastle and I’m really excited to have signed a two-year deal,” Fitzgerald told the club’s website.
“Ernie [Merrick] is well-known for the attacking style of football he likes to play and I’m confident that’ll only complement the way I play.
“I’ve heard great things about the city of Newcastle and I can’t wait to get stuck into pre-season come July.”
Newcastle coach Ernie Merrick said: “Nick has been playing in the league for almost ten years and he’ll bring a lot of experience to our squad.
“He has a lot to offer in the final third and we’re looking forward to seeing just what Nick can do here in Newcastle.
“We’ve got plenty of options in that final third now, and I think the competition for spots will only drive the group on to find that next level.”
