Central Coast Mariners have confirmed the signing of Brazilian attacker and ex-Newcastle Jets man Jair.
Jair, 31, has joined the Mariners for the rest of the 2019/20 campaign having trained with Alen Stajcic’s squad in recent weeks.
The Mariners boss revealed the club were close to clinching his signature following their 3-1 home defeat to Adelaide United on Saturday.
“Jair is a talented footballer, who has a proven scoring record in the Korean K-League and a number of other leagues around the world,” Stajcic told the club website.
“He has trained with us in recent weeks and fitted into the squad well, and now I am excited to see him as a part of our team and what he can bring to the table in the A-League.”

“I am grateful for the opportunity that the coach and the club have given me now,” said Jair.
“It has been a time of evolution with everyone around me as I’ve trained with the team.”
