Jai Ingham has joined Robbie Fowler at Brisbane Roar, less than six weeks after he signed on with Central Coast Mariners.
In a bizarre turn of events for the New Zealand international, Ingham has returned to the club where he made his Hyundai A-League debut back in 2014.
The 25-year-old has inked a two-year deal with the Mariners and June, and appeared to be settling well into Alen Stajcic’s first-team plans, scoring a double in last week’s 5-0 friendly win over Charlestown City Blues.

“It’s an unbelievable opportunity, especially to play under [Head Coach] Robbie Fowler,” Ingham told Roar’s official website.

“I think it’s going to be a great year for Brisbane Roar and I’m very excited.
“I can’t wait to learn off him [Fowler]. I’ve learnt a lot at my previous clubs and I can’t wait to continue learning here in Brisbane.”
Ingham, who has featured four times for the All Whites, is Roar’s 12th signing of the off-season so far.
He’ll add plenty of pace to a Roar attack that also features the speedy Dylan Wenzel-Halls, Irish striker Roy O’Donovan and Welshman Aaron Amadi-Holloway.
“There’s some very good players here which makes for healthy competition and makes the team environment strong,” Ingham said.
