Brisbane Roar’s Westfield W-League 2019/20 Season squad is beginning to take shape with the club announcing the signings of five youngsters on Wednesday.
Young guns Leah Davidson, Indiah-Paige Riley, Hollie Palmer, Kaitlyn Torpey and Georgina Worth have all re-signed with the club for the new season.
It’s a particularly special moment for 22-year-old goalkeeper Worth, who missed the entire 2018/19 Season due to a serious knee injury.
“I’m super excited to be back for another season,” said Worth, who was part of the club’s coaching staff last season.
“Obviously last season was disappointing but it was good to still be involved and I’m really excited to be back training, travelling and all that fun stuff.

“It’s quite exciting to have a new coach who I have heard great things about. It’s a new challenge and I’m sure all the girls will put their best foot forward.
“It’s great that young players who have grown up here in Brisbane are getting the opportunity to play for their home club, and we’ve got a great group of senior players to help the younger group too.”
Riley, 17, was Roar’s Breakthrough Player of the Year last season, making 10 appearances and scoring once in her maiden Westfield W-League campaign.
Davidson also made her top-flight debut last season while fellow teenagers Palmer and Torpey are back for their third and fourth seasons respectively at the club.
The quintet of signings takes Roar’s current squad to eight following the announcements of Westfield Matildas trio Mackenzie Arnold, Katrina Gorry and Tameka Yallop on Tuesday.
