Signing news: City appoint new keeper coach

Melbourne City have appointed Jess Vanstrattan as the club’s first-team goalkeeping coach for the Hyundai A-League 2017/18 Season.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

*Vanstrattan joins City’s coaching panel featuring head coach Warren Joyce and assistants Michael Valkanis and Joe Montemurro.

*He’ll primarily work with first-team goalkeepers Eugene Galekovic and Dean Bouzanis but also help to develop City’s National Youth League goalkeepers, including James Delianov and Yaren Sozer.

*Vanstrattan, a youth international with Australia, spent the past two and half years at Newcastle Jets.

*During his playing career he spent time at Serie A giants Juventus, as well as at Hyundai A-League clubs Gold Coast United, Central Coast Mariners and the Jets.
