GOALS

Ljujic Phoenix 0-1, 27′

The tall Serbian striker cuts inside from the right and powers a low shot that goes over a Phoenix player in the box and deceives Jack Duncan.

Mullen Phoenix 0-2, 36′

Simple goal. Corner slung in by Ridenton and with the sun in the defenders’ eyes, Mullen is given enough room to power his header home at the near post.

Nabbout Jets 1-2, 47′

Within two minutes of the restart and Jets open up Phoenix through Georgievski and Pato Rodriguez who combine beautifully, the ball falls to Nabbout  and he finished past Italiano.

Krishna Phoenix 1-3, 58′

Lovely finish by the Fijian.  Burns with the layoff to Krishna who curled it past Duncan to make it 3-1. Phoenix making the most of their numerical advantage after Boogaard went off the pitch to have a head knock treated.

Petratos Jets 2-3, 85′

Young Gus Thurgate has his shirt pulled. Dimi Petratos takes the penalty and converts.
