Now the search is on for the Team of the Year from the grassroots in the 2011 Australian Football Awards Team of the Year.
The nominees will include teams who have won many games with flair. There may be team who haven-t won a match, but inspire others with their commitment and values.
There are many champion teams with wonderful attributes, young and old. If your team or a team you support shows a special quality, it-s time to lodge a nomination.

Eligibility and selection criteria
The team must:
– Have a passion and flair for the game
– Be part of a club that is registered with Football Federation Australia
– Have all players registered as amateurs
– Demonstrate a great team effort on the field in a competition that has concluded on or before 30 June 2011 (2010 winter/2011 summer seasons)
– Foster equal opportunity for all
– Show on and off field excellence
– Uphold and display fair play values
Selection Process
– Nominations are open to the public now until Friday 19 August 2011
– Nomination forms can be completed and submitted online at www.footballaustralia.com.au/footballawards/
– Teams are permitted and encouraged to self-nominate
– Only one nomination per nominator is permitted. Teams can receive multiple nominations from different nominators
