Robbie Fowler is casting his eye over the Premier League and the Eredivisie as the Liverpool legend looks to make his first signings as Brisbane Roar boss.
Fowler was appointed head coach of Brisbane in April and swiftly took an axe to the Roar squad which finished ninth in a disappointing 2018/19 campaign, with 14 players departing within days of his arrival.
And according to the Burnley Express, the 44-year-old is keen on bringing Burnley midfielder Aiden O’Neill to Queensland.

O’Neill, 20, was born in Brisbane and completed a loan stint with Central Coast Mariners in 2018/19, where he scored four goals in 23 appearances.
Having played youth football in Queensland, he moved to the UK as a teenager to pursue his football dreams and has made five appearances in total for the Clarets, including three in the Premier League, having signed for the club in 2014.
Former Adelaide United man George Mells is also looming as a target for Fowler.
Mells, a former Chelsea and Southampton youth academy player who won the Hyundai A-League double with Adelaide in 2015/16, earned a one-year deal at newly promoted Eredivisie club Fortuna Sittard in July 2018 after impressing during a trial.
However, the 22-year-old did not make a first-team appearance for the Dutch outfit and is said to be open to a return to Australia.

City after Noone
Melbourne City have been linked with English winger Craig Noone.
Noone – who played in the Premier League with Cardiff City in 2013/14 – has spent the past two seasons with Bolton Wanderers.

The 31-year-old was among a slew of players to leave Bolton after the club entered administration and were relegated from the English Championship last season.
And according to popular Bolton Wanderers website Burnden Aces, Noone is set to follow former his Bolton teammates Adam Le Fondre and Jem Karacan to the Hyundai A-League.
