The Football Federation Australia (FFA) Independent Appeal Committee consisting of Alan Sullivan QC (Chair), Justice Rachel Pepper and Peter Tsekenis convened to hear an appeal by Roy O’Donovan (the Player) of Newcastle Jets FC in relation to a decision made by the FFA Independent Disciplinary and Ethics Committee regarding an incident that occurred during the Hyundai A-League 2018 Grand Final.
The independent Appeal Committee dismissed the Appeal. The Player must therefore serve the sanction determined by the FFA Independent Disciplinary and Ethics Committee, being a ten (10) match suspension.
