Melbourne City 4-7 Brisbane Roar
- The second-placed City played third-placed Roar in this match-up
Xbox: Storm “StormNoa” Noa 1-5 Andy “AKP0” Phanouvong
Storm Noa filled in for usual competitor Marcus Gomes, who is in London at the FUT Champions Cup, and things didn’t get off to a great start as it took just nine minutes for Brisbane’s AKP0 to open the scoring with Cristiano Ronaldo. AKP0 then extended his lead in the 35th minute with Neymar and added a third with the last kick of the half. Storm managed to grab a goal back, but AKP0 went on to add a fourth in the 85th minute to secure a 4-1 first leg win.
The second leg was much closer and was only separated by a single goal which again came just before the half time whistle. Ruud Gullit’s shot was deflected into the path of Cristiano Ronaldo who had no issues turning the ball home at the near post to secure a 1-0 second leg win for Brisbane and the end of City’s unbeaten start to the season.

PS4: Peter “Saisanas” Saisanas 3-2 Dylan “AussieFIFAHD” Banks
Two of the more highly skilled competitors in the league squared off as Saisanas took on AussieFIFA in a game that reflected just how close these two competitors are. It took 29 minutes for Saisanas to open the scoring, courtesy of a Panenka penalty from Neymar that made the goalkeeper look funny. However, AussieFIFA responded immediately with an intricate passing move that resulted in Dennis Bergkamp getting onto the end of a pass inside the box and leveling the score at 1-1 which is how it remained until the full-time whistle.
The second game was also just as close and followed a similar storyline as Saisanas slotted home with Ronaldo Nazario in the 16th minute to give City the 1-0 lead. Pele then extended the lead for Saisanas in the 83rd minute before AussieFIFA hit back with Kylian Mbappe who slotted the ball home into the top left-hand corner seeing the final score end 2-1.
We see you @saisanasp with the Panenka penalty 👀

Newcastle Jets 8-5 Western Sydney Wanderers
- After a heavy defeat last week, Newcastle looked to bounce back against a strong Western Sydney outfit.
Xbox: Liz “N8 Liz” Varley 4-3 Joseph “N8 OhNoAGoat” Nassar
Despite suffering the heavy defeat in the previous week, Liz showed her resilience and looked to remind everyone of just how good she can be. She took the lead right before half time as Neymar got onto the end of a Dimi Petratos through ball into the box. The lead was then doubled in the final seconds of the match as Kylian Mbappe converted a first-time effort over Thibaut Courtois giving a much needed 2-0 first leg win.
OhNoAGoat’s second leg went much like his second leg last week against Marcus Gomes, as he was able to turn around a first leg defeat despite Liz opening the scoring with Kylian Mbappe in the 23rd minute. OhNoAGoat may have been fortunate with his two goals, as the first came after Liz failed to clear the ball just before half time, allowing Ronaldo Nazario to score from close range. Cristiano Ronaldo then scored another fortunate goal as his first effort was saved by Edwin Van Der Sar only for the second shot to lob over the keeper who was still on the ground. His third was due to another failed clearance from Liz, allowing Bruce Kamau to slot in Cristiano Ronaldo for a tap in just outside the six-yard box before Liz grabbed a consolation goal that saw the second leg finish at 3-2.

PS4: Christian “Fweshest” Bartolilo 4-2 Joel “N8 Jaz” Andruszkiewicz
Two more of the leagues top players faced off as Newcastle’s Fweshest took on Western Sydney Wanderer’s Jaz and it showed in the first leg as the score finished tied at 1-1 as Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring for Jaz, before Ronaldo Nazario equalised for Fweshest just ten minutes later.
The second leg was more open as it only took five minutes for Fweshest to get on the scoreboard with Cristiano Ronaldo finishing from inside the box. Kylian Mbappe then doubled the lead right on half time before Jaz clawed a goal back just five minutes later. However, Fweshest added a third goal in the 82nd minute to give Newcastle the three points.
Sydney FC 7-8 Melbourne Victory
- With FUTWIZ Marko and Joshawaa missing, it was left to Nfamous Shadow to hold down the fort and fight for the three points against an unbeaten Victory side.
Xbox: Necat “Nfamous_Shadow8” Gorgec 4-6 Mouad “Mouad Zwed” Zwed
The first task for the night was to face a dominant Mouad Zwed and after a first leg 3-1 defeat, Nfamous had it all to do in the second leg. It took three minutes of first half stoppage time to open the scoring for Nfamous Shadow as Paulo Maldini rose high from a corner to head the ball home. Maldini was then again at the forefront of attention as he deflected home a Cristiano Ronaldo shot from Mouad Zwed that saw the game tied at 1-1. Zwed then extended his lead in the 61st minute before Nfamous equalised and then retook the lead in the 76th and 78th minutes. Zwed then equalised again to see the second leg end 3-3.

PS4: Necat “Nfamous_Shadow8” Gorgec 3-2 Sarge “Sarge_Fifa” Singh
Playing on his non-native console against Sarge_Fifa who has proven to be the PS4 player to beat this season, Nfamous got a solid 2-2 draw in the first leg and just five minutes into the second leg, Nfamous opened the scoring with Kylian Mbappe which left him just one goal behind on aggregate. However, Sarge showed his professionalism and managed to maintain the ball and see out a 1-0 loss which was enough for the Victory to remain unbeaten and go three points clear at the top of the table.
Adelaide United 4-8 Wellington Phoenix
- Wellington Phoenix looked to continue to keep their title hopes alive as they took on an Adelaide side missing regular FUTWIZ Jamie.
Xbox: Zac “vDreamz Shooter” May-Burgess 1-4 Justin “N8 JustManUtd” Josevski
Adelaide substitute vDreamz Shooter had it all to do against a very strong JustManUtd and things were made tougher as Ronaldo Nazario opened the scoring for the Phoenix player in the 30th minute. vDreamz remained calm and equalised through Cristiano Ronaldo in the 38th minute which was enough to claim a 1-1 first leg draw.
The second leg went much differently, however, as JustManUtd opened the scoring in the 11th minute through Cristiano Ronaldo, before doubling it in the 41st minute. He then secured the three points for the Phoenix with a goal in the 73rd minute that somehow managed to evade a diving keeper and a defenders leg to give JustManUtd the 3-0 second leg win.
PS4: Rick “RickTran” Tran 3-4 Omer “oCenk
oCenk got scoring underway in the 10th minute as Ruud Gullit rose high to head the ball home before Cristiano Ronaldo doubled the lead 30 minutes later giving oCenk a 2-0 lead going into the half. Rick then grabbed two goals back in the second half before Lionel Messi broke the offside trap in the 85th minute and converted giving oCenk a 3-2 first leg win.
The second leg was much closer as it took 72 minutes for Ruud Gullit to score the first goal of the match after Kylian Mbappe’s gut-busting run down the wing and to the top of the box before finding an unmarked Ruud Gullit. Rick equalised in the 83rd minute with his own Kylian Mbappe, but was unable to secure the three points for Adelaide as the game ended 1-1.

Central Coast Mariners 7-4 Perth Glory
- The last game of the night saw the Mariners take on a still winless Perth Glory side hoping to get their first points of the season.
Xbox: Kiran “KyrenFIFA” Gupta 6-2 David “N8 Highfly” Cook
The last matches of the night got off to a rough start for Highfly as Cristiano Ronaldo and a Ronaldo Nazario brace inside the first 22 minutes saw KyrenFIFA storm out to an early 3-0 lead, leaving it all to do for Highfly. However, Perth’s new striker acquisition in Bruno Fornaroli managed to find an unmarked Neymar inside the six-yard box in the 33rd minute before Neymar secured a brace in the 80th minute to see Highfly come back from three goals down to lose 3-2.
It was again Kyren’s turn to score quick and early goals as Cristiano Ronaldo and Ronaldo Nazario opened the scoring for Kyren in the first 18 minutes, giving him an early 2-0 lead. Highfly was unable to repeat the comeback he had in the first leg and Kyren added a third goal in the 83rd minute to secure a 3-0 second leg win and the three points for the Mariners.

PS4: Jesse “JesseD1996” Da Silva 1-2 Zach “Zacmac99” Macgregor
Unlike the Xbox legs, the PS4 leg was much closer between JesseD and Zacmac, as the first leg was only separated by a single goal which came courtesy of Neymar in the 63rd minute after a series of fortunate deflections saw the ball land at the feet of Cristiano Ronaldo who squared the ball to Neymar.
The second leg would see an E-League Season 2 first as Zacmac whipped in an El Tornado cross to Bruno Fornaroli at the back post who calmly headed the ball back to Cristiano Ronaldo for an easy tap in to the net. Zacmac would then double his lead in the 76th minute, as David De Gea palmed a cross to Bruno Fornaroli who lobbed his header over the defenders and goalkeeper to not only score his first goal in a Perth Glory shirt, all be it a virtual Perth Glory shirt, but secured the first win on the PS4 side for Perth as Zacmac held on for a well deserved 2-0 win.
