Sydney FC academy star Adrian Segecic has seen his fantasy price skyrocket after bagging 18 points and scoring his first Isuzu UTE A-League goal in a bright 24-minute cameo against Macarthur FC in Round 4.
Owned by just 3.6% of teams heading into Round 4, Segecic came on for his third bench appearance of the season and looked a constant threat against the 10 men of Macarthur, creating one chance and taking five shots – with three on target – and scoring the decisive goal in his side’s 3-2 victory.

Segecic began the season as one of the cheapest players in the game, with a starting price of $155,000. His price has risen $43.9k in the aftermath of his 18-point haul which lifted the Sydney substitute into the Team of the Week.
Segecic ranks fifth league-wide in the $-per-point category after four rounds – and fellow Sky Blues academy gun Jaiden Kucharski is on top of that list after assisting Segecic’s goal off the bench on Saturday night. Kucharski (priced at $150k) earned his first nine points of the season in his first A-League Men appearance.

Cummings sets the standard in ominous Round 4 display
Jason Cummings top scored with 24 points in Round 4 after starring in Central Coast Mariners’ 4-2 win over Western United – and it could have been a far greater haul for the Socceroos’ World Cup hopeful.
Cummings scored one and assisted two of Central Coast’s four second-half goals, and the slightest of touches off the leg of Western defender Jacob Tratt denied him a third assist for Beni N’Kololo’s close-range strike which came after Cummings ball across the box.
Mariners head coach Nick Montgomery insisted Cummings “should have had two goals” after the bizarre overturning of his first strike of the afternoon: a well-taken effort from range scrubbed from the record due to two balls being on the pitch in the build-up to the goal.
Cummings earned his 24 points from his goal scored (eight points) two assists (12 points), shots on target (two points), key passes (two points) an accurate cross (one point) and two appearance points, with three points deducted from dispossessions and a yellow card.
He led the Round 4 Team of the Week, with Western Sydney Wanderers dominating the best X1 with three entrants from a 2-0 win over Newcastle Jets.

Western United defenders plummeting in value
Champions Western are planted to the foot of the A-League Men table, with just one point from four games and 10 goals conceded the most of any in the competition after four rounds.
As a result, Western defenders – who were highly sought after fantasy assets in pre-season after the club kept a league-high 12 clean sheets in 2021-22 – have see their collective value dip, with Round 4’s second-half capitulation against Central Coast the latest wobbly performance of what was the league’s most formidable defence last season.
Ben Garuccio’s starting price has dropped by $135k since Round 1; Leo Lacroix is now priced at $217K after his $127K dip, with Nikolai Topor-Stanley also seeing his price drop by $92K.
Josh Risdon is the only Western defender who has seen his price rise this season.
