Melbourne Victory travel to face Perth Glory at Dorrien Gardens on Tuesday night, with the opportunity to leapfrog two sides on their way into third place on the Westfield W-League table.
Victory can rise to 20 points with a win against Perth on the road, and overtake Adelaide United in third whilst bundling Canberra United out of the top four.
Glory are winless under Alex Epakis this season. The Western Australian outfit have just one point on the board after eight games and a goal difference of -16, but could put a severe dent in Victory’s Finals Series aspirations by clinching their first win of the campaign on Tuesday night.
Victory are five games unbeaten (W4, D1) heading into this one, and will hope to produce a similar result to the 2-1 win clinched by the visiting side over Perth at Dorrien Gardens in December, 2019 – the last meeting between the two sides.
