Rojas revelling in Victory return

Melbourne Victory winger Marco Rojas is expecting to improve with every opportunity he gets to play with his new teammates under match conditions.

Rojas made his first appearance for Victory since returning to the club last month in Wednesday’s pre-season win over Sydney FC.

He found the back of the net and provided the assist which led to Besart Berisha scoring a penalty, before being substituted after 66 minutes.

“It was good to get a hit-out and good to be back on AAMI Park as well,” Rojas said.

“I’m happy to be able to get on the scoresheet too. It gives you confidence, and hopefully that continues throughout the season.

“It’s good to get games and it’s good to be on the pitch with the guys and to get the chemistry going.

“I’ve only been here for just over a week, so I’ve got to get on the same wavelength with the boys, and this is how you can do it, with these pre-season hit-outs.

“I’ll continue to put my head down, continue to work hard and make sure I’m ready for Round 1.”
