Brisbane Roar boss Robbie Fowler is the overwhelming winner of the Hyundai A-League Coach of the Month award for January.
Fowler picked up a massive 89% of the vote from the fans to beat out Sydney FC coach Steve Corica (7%) and Perth Glory’s Tony Popovic (4%).
And Fowler was certainly a worthy winner given the way he has helped turn Roar’s fortunes around in the early stages of 2020.
Languishing near the bottom of the ladder at the end of 2019, Roar opened the New Year with a bang, beating Western Sydney Wanderers 2-1 on January 1.
They followed that up with 1-0 wins over both Wellington Phoenix and Central Coast Mariners (both 1-0), with a 2-2 draw against second-place Melbourne City also this month.
