Young Brisbane Roar midfielder Joe Caletti has declared John Aloisi’s squad have the character and belief to go all the way in the Hyundai A-League Finals Series.

ROAR PEAKING AT RIGHT TIME
Roar showed their title credentials with a crucial 1-0 win over Melbourne Victory on Saturday night to strengthen their claims for a top-four finish.
With three matches remaining in the regular season, Roar have a four point gap to fifth placed Perth Glory and on track to secure a home final in the first week of the play-offs.
“We’re coming to the end of the season so it was a really important three points that allows us to take confidence into the next game,” Caletti said.
“Everyone wants to play finals and go all the way and we have the belief in this squad that we can do that.”
IMPOSING HOME RECORD
Aloisi’s troops have a sensational record at Suncorp Stadium, making it one of the more feared venues for visiting teams in recent years.
And they play two of their final three matches at home – starting with Central Coast Mariners on Sunday – followed by Wellington Phoenix in Round 27.
“Everyone knows how good we are at home so it’s important that we look to secure a home final,” Caletti added.
CALETTI MAKING HIS MARK
The former Joeys captain has got a taste of first-team football in recent months and capped an incredible rise with selection in his first Hyundai A-League Team of the Week for his stellar showing against the Victory.
In just a handful of matches, the young midfielder has been commended on his consistency and says the secret is a simple as training the way you want to play.
“I was really happy with [the TOTW selection] and hopefully I can make a few more,” he said.
“The experienced and successful group of players we have makes my job easier and they help me out on the pitch which is important to me as a young player.
“It’s all about putting in at training, making sure you’re switched on during the week and then when it comes to game day I don’t need a lift. I’m always up for it, I’ve wanted to play in the [Hyundai] A-League for a long time now,” Roar’s young midfielder said.
“I want to put in for the boys around me so it definitely has a bit to do with the club culture and doing right by your teammates.”
