Brisbane has made an attacking move off the field, appointing Peter McLennan as the club’s new chief executive officer.
McLennan, who joined the Roar in 2007 as General Manager, said he is exited about officially taking over from the departed Lawrence Oudendyk.
“It is a real honour to accept this role, particularly at such an exciting time for the club,” he said.
“We have a lot of work ahead of us but everyone at the club, from the board to the playing staff, is committed to giving the Brisbane public a football club they can be proud of.”
Board member Emmanuel Drivas said McLennan had proved himself in many areas and is more than capable of taking the club forward.
“The board are delighted to have Peter as the club’s CEO and we are confident he will continue to serve the club to the same high standards that culminated in his appointment,” he said.
“Peter’s strong understanding of the club and the Brisbane marketplace leaves Brisbane Roar in very safe hands.”
Brisbane Roar continues its pre-season preparations this Sunday with a match against State League outfit Sunshine Coast FC at Gympie.
