Revealed: Markus Babbel’s Wanderers tattoo

Markus Babbel’s Western Sydney Wanderers tattoo has been exposed.

It was revealed last week that the German coach, 47, had inked the Wanderers icon to the list of clubs he has either played for or managed throughout his career.

Babbel was quizzed by FOX Sports’ Adam Peacock about when Hyundai A-League fans would see his latest tattoo following Saturday night’s Sydney derby win over Sydney FC, but said that ‘you’ll see it in the summer’.

However, less than a week later, all has been revealed.

Babbel’s freshest tattoo covers almost the entirety of his left forearm, with a Roman numeral clock-face the backdrop to what appears to be an enormous tattoo of a lion wearing a crown.

Beneath the lion stems the letters WSW, arranged in the same way they are presented on the Wanderers’ emblem.

Babbel already adorns tattoos of all his former clubs including the likes of Bayern Munich, Liverpool, VfB Stuttgart and Hertha Berlin.

The former defender’s sense of style has certainly garnered the attention of fans around the country following his arrival in 2018.
