Wellington Phoenix attacker Reno Piscopo has been named the Hyundai A-League’s December nominee for the Young Footballer of the Year.
The 21-year-old has been a key contributor for Ufuk Talay’s side during their impressive eight-game unbeaten run in the Hyundai A-League.
Having joined the Phoenix from Italian Serie C side Renate ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, Piscopo took a little while to settle into his new surrounds but started all five of Wellington’s matches in December.
The youth international, who is currently with the Australian U-23 squad at the AFC U-23 Championship, was one of Phoenix’s most creative players.
