Women-s football in SA continues to go from strength to strength, with members of United-s W-League squad attending two events in Adelaide-s north.

First up, striker Racheal Quigley was a special guest at the Year 6/7 Girls SAPSASA Northern District Carnival on July 28. The 18 year old shared her local, national and international football experiences with the girls, up to her current place in United-s Women-s squad.

The carnival, which was held at the Elizabeth Grove Soccer Club, saw girls from across Adelaide-s northern areas take part, Quigley taking in one of the semi final matches before hanging around to have photos with the players.

This event was followed by massive turnout at the Para Hills East Junior Girls Soccer Club, as a host of the Lady Reds assisted at one of the local club-s training sessions.

For the first hour, United-s W-League squad members took the Para Hills East girls through a host of drills before all of the Lady Reds, including a number of prospective signings for this season, hit the track. All of the girls then caught up for a meet and greet afterwards, with the success of the night set to see the event held annually, as the interest in women-s football in South Australia continues to blossom.
