Adelaide United coach Guillermo Amor has no plans change the high-possession game style which has failed to yield a win for his team in the opening three rounds of the Hyundai A-League season.
The Reds were unconvincing in Sunday’s 3-1 loss to Perth Glory at nib Stadium despite having 69% of the total match possession.
Adelaide only had one genuine shot on goal during the 90 minutes – a Sergio Cirio strike from close range that was blocked by Glory’s Marc Warren – and their 75th minute goal came courtesy of a deflection off Perth defender Diogo Ferreira.

Amor’s side has only scored one other goal this season – also an own goal – and have rarely looked threatening when going forward.
Speaking via an interpreter, Amor implored the club’s fans to have patience as the players became more familiar with the Spaniard’s game plan.
“We came here to win the game and for different reasons we couldn’t get the three points,” he said.
“This style is something that we want to grow…and we think it’s important to have possession and have the initiative in the game.
“Normally the team who has more of the ball is the one who has more chances.
“We will (continue to) play with three strikers and use the width of the pitch…and we expect later on some results, but we are always looking for the three points.”
Amor said his players were disappointed with their efforts against Perth and he would attempt to “lift the mood” of the Adelaide dressing room ahead of Saturday’s clash with Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium.
Reds captain Marcelo Carrusca copped two nasty knocks and Mate Dugandzic struggled with cramp during Sunday’s match, but Amor expected both players to be available to take on the Roar.
Striker Bruce Djite is also in the mix to return from injury.
