Adelaide United will wear black armbands for Saturday’s Hyundai A-League match against the Western Sydney Wanderers as a sign of respect, following the passing of Remo Paris.
Franco Remo Paris, who was part of the Adelaide United medical staff since the Club’s inception, passed away peacefully on Saturday, 19 March 2016.
Remo was a valued member of the Club and was loved by players, coaches, and staff alike, for his infectious humour and passion for football. His dedication to the development of football in South Australia was immense and his contribution to the game will be remembered.
Adelaide United Chief Executive Officer, Grant Mayer, offered his condolences to the family after Remo’s passing.
“Our thoughts are with Remo’s family at this difficult time,” Mayer said.
“Tonight, we want to pay tribute to the work he did for our Club and for football in South Australia, and thank Remo for everything he helped us achieve.”
Adelaide United will face Western Sydney Wanderers in Round 24 of the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season on Saturday, 19 March at Pirtek Stadium. Kick-off is at 7.00pm ACDT.
