Former English Premier League coach Harry Redknapp is set to join Central Coast Mariners as a coaching consultant for next season.
Mariners CEO Shaun Mielekamp made the announcement at the club’s end of season awards on Friday night.
The former Tottenham Hotspur, Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United boss will work as a consultant to the Central Coast Mariners football department and connect the club with his ties abroad.

Redknapp most recently coached Jordan in a two-game stint back in March, with the 69-year-old enjoying a 8-0 win over Bangladesh before his side were humbled 5-1 by the Socceroos in Sydney.
Earlier, youngster Liam Rose was named the club’s player of the season after a breakout season under Tony Walmsley.
After graduating from the Australian Institute of Sport, Rose signed with the Central Coast Mariners in 2013. ‘Junior’ made his Hyundai A-League debut as a substitute against Adelaide United in February 2015.
This season the Young Socceroo had an invaluable opportunity to work alongside UEFA Champions League winner Luis Garcia who assisted with the development of his attacking game.
Roy O’Donovan won the Mariners’ goal of the season for his wonder strike against Adelaide United in Round 25, while Skipper, Nick Montgomery was the recipient of the ‘Men of Football Damien Brown Medal’, voted by the Central Coast Chapter as well as the Central Coast Mariners Official Supporter Club Player of the Year.
