Liam Reddy is still waiting for a decision about his future with Sydney FC, after attending a disciplinary hearing at the club’s head office following his drunken flight to New Zealand.

Reddy admitted to drinking on his side’s flight to New Zealand to take on Wellington Phoenix in a knockout Hyundai A-League final, and he gave his version of events in front of acting Sydney chief executive Stefan Kamasz and football director Gary Cole on Monday.

The club have yet to reveal whether Reddy will be punished for his actions.

“Sydney FC Management will prepare a full report and recommended sanction, which will be announced later this week after it is presented to the Sydney FC Board,” Kamasz said.

Heading into the third and final year of his contract with the club, Reddy cannot be sacked as that requires breaching of the Code of Conduct three times, and this is his first offence.
