Red Devils arrive in Sydney

Manchester United have arrived at Sydney International Airport this afternoon, ahead of their match against the Foxtel A-League All Stars.

Manchester United have arrived at Sydney International Airport this afternoon, as they continue pre-season preparations ahead of their match against the Foxtel A-League All Stars this Saturday night.

They were greeted by a sea of red on exiting the airport terminal, with players and coaching staff stopping to sign autographs and pose for photos with fans.

The squad arrived from Thailand where they were surprising losers in the first match of their Asia tour, going down to a Thailand All Star team 1-nil in Bangkok.

Manager David Moyes was disappointed to go down in his first game in charge of his new side but maintained United would take a lot of positives from the match.

“If I’m going to lose any games I’m happy to lose these ones. It’s pre-season,” Moyes told the club’s official website.

“We missed a couple of chances at the end which may well have got us something out of the game but the important thing is we got a few of the players through 90 minutes.

“It was a really good fitness workout – anyone who was watching (in the stadium) tonight will tell you that, as it was very warm. So I was pleased with that.”

Manchester United will be opening up their final training session to the general public on Friday 19 July from 7:00pm at Allianz Stadium, Sydney.

Australian fans will have the opportunity to see the likes of Ryan Giggs, Robin Van Persie and Rio Ferdinand go through their paces before the sold-out clash with the inaugural Foxtel A-League All Stars side at ANZ Stadium on Saturday 20 July.

All tickets to the training session are just $15 and are currently on sale.

With 80 000 tickets being sold for the All Stars clash in a matter of minutes it is a great opportunity for those that missed out to get along and see the world-s biggest football club.
