Speaking after it was confirmed Brown would leave the club, Jets boss Ernie Merrick praised the hard-working midfielder for his service to football in the area.
“Wayne is an excellent professional and we wish him every success in the future,” Merrick said.
“He’s a competitive character, extremely hard-working and been a pleasure to work with.”
Before the club’s FFA Cup Round of 32 clash against Gold Coast Knights next month, the Jets will head to Spain for a training camp, as well as matches against La Liga opposition.
